After quite some time, I decided to change the theme of this website and use a new, different parent theme.
Up until now, I used “WP Moose” as parent, which served me well and catered to my minimalistic preference. But, and I don’t want to throw stones or the like, it was somewhat filling my debug log with warnings about deprecations and so on, as WordPress evolves. So, it was time to move on…
With that said, my parent theme of choice now is “GeneratePress”. Well maintained and itself minimalistic in appearance, so I didn’t have to adapt a lot, just changing some overrides here and there. Not much.
Overall, the switch to GeneratePress was done relatively fast and easy, as you can see here, if you are interested…
All in all, no ground breaking news, just a quick update :-)
